Best Video Of BlackBerry Storm 2 Yet

Posted by Eric Zeman, Oct 12, 2009 01:47 PM

If there's anything left you wanted to know about the unannounced, unofficial BlackBerry Storm 2 9550/9520 from Research In Motion, this new video covers it all. Also, accessories for the BlackBerry Storm 2 have started arriving in Best Buy Stores, and Vodafone may launch the device as early as this week across the pond.

One gentleman on the Web appears to have an endless supply of pre-release hardware for the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550/9520. The latest hardware comes complete with Verizon Wireless branding and looks to be in near final form, both on the hardware and software fronts. This guy's latest video is extremely long and in-depth. Suffice it to say, he covers all the bases. If you're hankering for a hunk of Storm 2 info, check the video below to get your fix.

In other Storm 2 news, it appears as though accessories, such as cases and skins, have started appearing at Best Buy locations around the U.S. The skins add some salt to the mix of information -- or misinformation, it seems -- about what the device will be called. Some of the skins call the device the Storm2, Storm II, and Storm 2. All slight variations, indeed, but differences nonetheless.

Last up in this trio of Storm tidbits, Phone Arena reports that the device is set to launch with Vodafone as soon as this week. Vodafone, as you may recall, carries the original Storm over in Europe. Vodafone also owns part of Verizon Wireless here in the U.S., and it's no surprise to see that the carrier is teaming up once again on this touch-screen BlackBerry. Phone Arena's sources suggest that the device still won't street until early November in the U.S., which sounds about right.
