The holiday shopping season has fully arrived, and stores across the country will be opening early and offering bargains. If you're brave enough to hit the big box retail stores this weekend, Best Buy is offering five different Android handsets for $99 each.If you or someone you know is in the market for an Android device, Best Buy has some good news for you. Best Buy Mobile is offering five different Android phones across three carrier networks for $99 each with a new two-year contract. These smartphones include the HTC Hero (Sprint), myTouch 3G (T-Mobile), Motorola CLIQ (T-Mobile), Samsung Moment (Sprint) and the HTC ERIS (Verizon Wireless). The normal sale price of these devices ranges between $99 and $200, and even those price points require a mail-in rebate first.

Speaking of rebates... Best Buy has recently taken on the very customer-friendly policy of providing instant rebates. No more tacky, mail-in forms required. If a phone company plans to charge $200 for a device, but requires a $100 mail-in rebate to actually reach that sales price, Best Buy is only going to charge the $200. Best Buy eliminates the hassle of the mail-in rebate. That's a very nice service, in deed.

Best Buy says the $99 Android sale will be available for "the holidays" and hasn't specified a date range. Perhaps those price points will be available from now until after the holiday season is over.

Android devices aren't the only mobile tools on sale at Best Buy.

If a 3G laptop modem is in your future, consider snagging the Sprint version of the MiFi. Best Buy will be offering it for free with a new two-year contract.

Last, Best Buy has dropped the price of the Palm Pre to just $80 on contract.

These last two bargains are only available November 27 and November 28.
