App World Update

BlackBerry Apps World was recently updated. So far, no new major changes have been reported. Even so, if you're interested in updating to Apps World 1.1.0.24, feel free to visit blackberry.com/appworld from your BlackBerry.

Wireless Power Consortium

Research In Motion recently joined the Wireless Power Consortium. The WPC's stated goal is to help develop and promote the ability to charge electronic devices wirelessly. A number of other handset companies, such as Nokia and Samsung, already belong to the WPC.

MySpace 2.0

Are any of you still using MySpace? If so, here's some good news. MySpace has been updated to 2.0 for the BlackBerry platform. Some of the changes include the ability to lookup friends while composing messages; add more than one recipient when sending a message; select multiple messages when managing messages (for deletion, mark as read, etc.); create, view, edit and comment on blogs; view and access MySpace messages from the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) message list; BIS-B Push Transport for new messages, friend requests and profile comments; and users' mood and status can now be selected and customized. It's available in Apps World.

Test Center Hits Apps World

Last, but not least, in this RIM round-up is news that the Apps World now has a fertile beta playground. The Test Center, as it is officially called, is a place for developers to test pre-release versions of their applications as well as let beta testers get their hands on things early.
