'Lephone' Is Lenovo's Attempt At An Android Phone
Today Lenovo announced its first real effort at a smartphone, the Lephone. The Lephone will run Android, and will launch starting in China later this year. The Lephone is a slab-style touch phone that runs a heavily-customized version of the Android platform. It includes Twitter and Facebook integration. It has a 3.7-inch, 480x800 pixel display and a second touch area on the front of the device for on-screen navigation. The Lephone has a rounded and sleek appearance, and lacks any buttons on the front of the device.

Other known stats include a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, two cameras (one of which is 3 megapixels), compatibility with 3G networks and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.
The Lephone will go on sale in China either late in the first quarter or early in the second. Pricing wasn't disclosed.
