The service also now enables businesses to personalize their e-mail templates. The Campaigner service is designed to let small businesses launch their own email marketing programs easily and cheaply. The service offers more than 450 templates to which customers can add their own text and images. It also includes built-in mailing list management feature, so names and addresses don't have to be constantly imported from a spreadsheet; and provides reporting functions so businesses can track how many messages bounced back and how many were opened.
Campaigner has added basic image preparation functions, so marketers can resize, crop, flip, or rotate photos right in the program. They can also add their business contact info to the program's email templates automatically, rather than having to enter it into each new message. The preview function shows what an email will look like to recipients, including those who might have their image download turned off. Finally, marketers can now import email contacts from Web mail programs such as Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo -- Campaigner sifts for duplicate addresses.
