In a deal involving Oracle, Mantas and i-flex solutions, Oracle will finance i-flex' acquisition of Mantas, the parties involved said Monday.

Mantas, headquartered in Herndon, Va., a major provider of compliance software, will be acquired by India-based i-flex, which is majority-owned by Oracle. The latter company will invest $125 million to fund the acquisition.

Simon Moss, chief executive officer of Mantas, said the joint efforts of the two operations will help serve their customers -- particularly for Mantas customers in institutional brokerage and capital markets and for i-flex customers in risk and compliance situations in financial institutions.
