TouchFire Screen-Top Keyboard: A Visual Tour
Many iPad users wish they had a better keyboard than the built-in soft keyboard, but they don't want to turn their iPad into a netbook. Unlike Bluetooth keyboards such as the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard or ZAGGFolio, the Touchfire adds almost no weight to the iPad.
Although it's a bit tricky to set up, you can use Apple's Smart Cover for the iPad with the TouchFire overlay. The Smart Cover even folds up into its display stand with the TouchFire in place.
The TouchFire got its start on Kickstarter, the fundraising site for new inventions. In answer to the inventors' request for $10,000 in backing, it raked in over $200,000. Now backers will be receiving their product.
