Is a cheaper iPhone 5 necessary when the iPhone 4 is free on a contract? Is an entirely new product on the horizon, and it's not an iPhone? When Apple wants to introduce a more affordable product, it's not always exactly what we expect. Read More >>

What Would an Apple Watch Do?

Comments | Larry Seltzer, BYTE | February 11, 2013 08:05 AM

The iWatch, or whatever Apple would call its "watch-like device," had better do something really clever and useful. The Dick Tracy watch has been attempted and laughed off the market before. Surely Apple is thinking of what to do beyond the phone and tablet, but it has to be better than this. Read More >>

But in most of the rest of the world, mobile access is bought on a no-contract, pre-paid basis.
