The company I work for is offering classes for its employees. My strength is in desktop support, including Windows NT, Windows 95, and Windows 3.1. I would like to make more money. How do I better my skills, and what are the right courses to take to get better job opportunities?

You better your skills by taking action! If your company offers classes, you should take whatever you can get your hands on, particularly if they are footing the bill. Making more money is tied directly to providing answers and solutions to problems. The more you know, the more valuable you become. I also suspect that if you're a desktop specialist, you already know what courses to take. This is a competitive market; you need to eat, sleep, and drink your industry. If you don't, there's a line a mile long behind you of people who are.

More Questions:
Should I work for an associate's degree in computer science that is attainable in six to nine months or spend another two years working for a B.A.?

Should I leave my current 10-people IS department for a more lucrative job at a larger company with a 200-person IS department?
