I've been in consumer products sales for 10 years. I've had exposure to all types of retailers and sales situations. I'm in need of a career change and I'm thinking of IT. I already have a bachelor's in business and a MBA. I'm considering going back for an IT degree (not programming). What IT fields would you recommend to best use my business education or my sales experience?

Definitely hardware or software sales. Or working for a vendor in a pre-or post-implementation role. The real challenge you have is that you have absolutely no IT experience--and I'm not convinced that if you go back for another degree in IT that it will afford you opportunities in the technical field when you complete the degree. Your real focus should be on working extremely hard and effectively at networking with people who are in the IT field that can counsel you and educate you on what opportunities are available.

Should I continue with a CNE program or switch to Microsoft's MSCE certification? Is one certification more valuable than the other?
