What are the chances of being hired by an IT business with an associate degree in science from a community college? A lot of colleges are saying the demand is there, but are IT businesses really hiring people with degrees like this and are these positions in the programmer/analyst category?

Yes--but this is the short-term outlook. As your career matures, your opportunities will be tighter and competition will be greater from B.S. candidates. The market today is hungry for trained professionals. The issue becomes how trained you are.
