China Or India: Take Your Pick

Satyam Computer Services is setting up an operations center in Guangzhou, China. The Indian IT consulting and services provider last week said the operations center is the first step toward setting up a large development center in China, where the company already has 250 employees working in Shanghai, Dalian, and Beijing.

Operations in China will help Satyam serve customers in Japan and Korea, says Virender Aggarwal, a company director and senior VP. China is a growing source of low-cost IT services and talent, and Satyam wants to use that to its advantage rather than compete against it.
