Pirvate cloud leaders, really?
Tweeters have made the comment that there is irony in this story. Yes, when you consider the big names in private cloud and OpenStack, such as Eucalyptus, Piston, Nebula, Ubuntu. But at the same time many people prefer to work from their existing infrastructure. And their existing infrastructure was provided by HP, Microsoft, Cisco and other suppliers that made Forrester's top ten in private cloud list. Eucalyptus is there. So are VMware and IBM. OpenStack, open source Eucalyptus and Cloudstack all provide the means of provisioning virtual machines, moving them around and managing them across a large x86 cluster. End users may self provision; IT can chargeback, or at least show back.

There's no doubt Google has made headway into businesses: Just 28 percent discourage or ban use of its productivity products, and 69 percent cite Google Apps' good or excellent mobility. But progress could still stall: 59 percent of nonusers distrust the security of Google's cloud. Its data privacy is an open question, and 37 percent worry about integration.
