Everything is faster with SSDs
Solid state drives would make for instantaneous I/O compared to spinning disks. SSDs would speed up many of the more complex operations on a DigitalOcean KVM virtual server. But 20 GBs of SSD on a standard server is a get-started figure. A major software development project would require a lot more.

But progress could still stall: 59 percent of nonusers ­distrust the security of Google's cloud. Its data privacy is an open question, and 37 percent worry about integration.
