CliQr's Elevator Pitch: Any App, In Any Cloud

Startup's CEO talks about CliQr's promise to put any legacy application on any public cloud, without modification. Check out video interviews from InformationWeek 500 and Valley View.

Startup CliQr Technologies' elevator pitch goes something like this: Take any legacy application and put it on any public cloud without modification. Heck, even move it between clouds, without vendor lock-in or penalty.

If it sounds too good to be true, well, it did to us, too. So we invited CliQr Technologies CEO and co-founder Gaurav Manglik to come make his pitch in front of an audience of technology buyers at the InformationWeek 500 conference. He even provided a short demonstration and answered some tough questions from the crowd. You can watch the video in the first window below.

We also invited Gaurav to come do an even more intense, pressure-filled version of it on our live Valley View Web show, in what we call our Elevator Pitch segment. He got three minutes to tell us the most important stuff and then face our judges. You can watch that segment in the video embedded at the bottom of this page.

CliQr's claim is to help uncouple the hardwiring of applications to infrastructure, and to make the public cloud more than a place for greenfield application deployments. The company charges not for application onboarding, but for runtime management and migration.

Make sure to tune into our October Valley View, on October 24 at 11 a.m. Pacific time, where we'll have more startups--including Taptera (enterprise mobile applications), Alteryx (big data), and Hearsay (social enterprise). We'll also feature conversations with Cisco CEO John Chambers, and Oracle president Mark Hurd. You can also register for the October Valley View show and have a chance to win some excellent gear. run-of-site player, used to publish article embedded videos via DCT.
