Interested in a particular Google Earth location? Zoom in for a firsthand look at its surrounding area. Use the onscreen tools to tilt the picture for different perspectives. This feature is useful to familiarize yourself with a distant location before a trip.

I have this update!! I have not my navigator anymore and the google latitude is not there anymore !!!

I am also disappointed that they removed the shortcut to Navigation. I'm withholding judgment on whether navigation (via my Android phone) is improved as I work though things like traffic and alternate routes.

I tried the new version and across the board it is much slower than the old version. So slow that it is unusable.

In theory, the picture your destination feature looks pretty helpful; at least you can know what you are looking for when you type an address into a location, unlike with traditional GPS. Also, searching for a restaurant by type of cuisine can be helpful when you are in an unfamiliar city and you have food allergies or limitations and are unfamiliar with the options that might be nearby.
