The Real Thing
April 10, 2006 InformationWeek coverThis does not provide "a new way for Windows viruses to creep inside the firewall" ("Windows On Macs, Oh My!" April 10, 2006). The user installs a full version of Windows XP and can install all appropriate antivirus, anti-spyware, and firewall software.

Second, it is a full installation of Windows XP in a separate partition, so it is fully functional.

This isn't just a new toy for techies. It's a potential sea change that will let users run two operating systems on the best hardware available.

Time To Change
April 24, 2006 cover of InformationWeekIt's tough to contemplate laying down the tools, disciplines, and practices that one has worked so hard to gain (" Down To Business: IT Globalization: Don't Kill The Messenger," April 24, 2006). But it need not be a complete loss. I've combined business and IT skills from my past experience and attempted to reassemble and apply them to problems that people in the business world aren't equipped to deal with.

I may have to keep making these changes to remain relevant. The world is changing. It's a bit simple-minded to assume that we shouldn't have to make some accommodations.
