Credant Technologies is known for managing and encrypting corporate data sent from multiple devices or stored in the cloud. The Credant platform supports multiple mobile operating systems for the company's two million customers. "In today's work environment data is always in-flight – from work being done on a local PC, being sent via email, stored on a USB drive and saved in the cloud. Each one of those experiences represents a potential security risk. The acquisition will allow Dell to expand its security tools to Dell Latitude, OptiPlex, and Precision PCs.
