Freeware Friday: Dash Off Quick Documents In WordPad

Writing letters or documents is easy in Windows using its free word processor.

Maybe you don't really need Word. For free document viewing, editing and saving, there's always WordPad.

WordPad is a free little word-processor--it comes with Windows.

In XP navigate to Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> WordPad . Select and click WordPad.

In Vista or Windows 7, click Start and in the search box type: wordpad

Hit Enter.

WordPad will save and open files in .txt, .doc and .rtf formats. It's a bare-bones text editor--no spellchecker here--but it's free!
