Spam and Business Productivity
An InformationWeek Editorial Perspective TechWebCast

Even with the passing of recent legislation to prosecute illegal spammers, the onslaught of unsolicited email continues unabated into many businesses. According to a recent InformationWeek Research report, “Spam in the Enterprise,” across corporate America where email is a critical form of business communication, 40% of email traffic is spam. Astonishingly, the report states that spam is increasing at a rate of 37% each month, roughly 400% a year. This deluge of unsolicited email threatens the stability, security and productivity of many enterprises, pressing many IT departments to develop e-mail control services.

In this webcast, we’ll discuss:

  • What are the strategies for maintaining and enhancing knowledge worker productivity?
  • How can IT departments leverage the benefits of email management?
  • How is spam affecting business productivity and how much is spam control a priority?
  • What are the legal and liability ramifications of spam?
