June 10, 1999 Maybe The Force Can Find You A Job Inforonics Inc. has devised an innovative way to capture the attention of IT job seekers. The services firm is running job ads on screens at 57 Massachusetts theaters showing Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The recruiting trick is working, the company says. Hits on Inforonics' Web site have quadrupled since the ads launched on May 21. The company says it has been bombarded with inquiries, and interviews are under way. Inforonics says its three ads each use an outer-space theme and emphasize the company's electronic-commerce and Web-application capabilities. |
