Sprint had a big presence at CTIA, as a keynote and touting its 4G service.  Sprint took up an entire hall at CTIA to unveil its first 4G handset, the HTC EVO 4G. It was an extravaganza, with food, Sprint plants oohing and ah-ing among the crowd, and one of the hottest devices produced this year.  Sprint CEO Dan Hesse was thrilled to be coming out with another hot, exclusive phone, for the second year in a row (last year it was the Palm Pre at CES).  The HTC EVO 4G, which will be available in the Summer has a 1GHz processor, runs Android 2.1, is multitouch and is both 4G and 3G, while also serving as a WiFi hotspot for up to eight wireless devices.  The HTC EVO 4G has an 8 megapixel camera, a 1.3 megapixel camera, shoots high definition video, and includes HDMI out.  Samsung's Galaxy S runs Android 2.1 on its 1GHz processor, but this phone is not available in the United States.  LG's GW550 runs Windows Mobile 6.5, but it isn't available in the United States yet.  LG's GW820 includes an optical fingerprint sensor. It became available in the U.S. in January.  FloTV is offering its service on the NetBook platform, and enhancing it with social networking capabilities.  FloTV is available in rear-seat add-on options for cars (directly from Chrysler, or through dealer add-on packages or even through after market services, like Best Buy Automotive).  Yahoo Sketchasearch for iPhone lets users draw around or along a particular location on a map to pull up local restaurants. These paintings can go for as much as $70,000.  The artist, David Garibaldi, with his latest work.  Dial2Do lets you text or e-mail using a voice service -- to make driving and phone use safer. It can also read your texts to you. It also works with applications like Twitter and Evernote.  No, really, a phone that runs Limo, the Linux-based mobile platform run by a consortium of about 50 vendors.  Who doesn't need to successorize their business.  Alcatel Lucent touted the benefits of 4G technology by showcasing some healthcare applications, including high definition video capabilities.  Alcatel Lucent shows some of the latest automotive technology that promises to take advantage of 4G.
