New access, new responsibility
Considering that hackers are already increasing in sophistication (http://www.hpenterprisesecurity.com/ponemon-study-2013), the addition of more entry points needs to serve as a wake up call that data security is everyone's responsibility.  Internet of things represents huge opportunities, but also huge responsibilities.
