It's always good to see government using technology to save money. So many times I have heard they use old machines and older software. New technology can save you money, as the Army has found out. Hopefully it trickles down to all the other departments and into the civilian world. DaaS has been around but I think licensing issues may have scared people away. i would be curious to know what the Army's price tag was to get this off the ground.
I have always wondered about licensing for DaaS and never have really found a one answer fits all. I've received many different answers. Do you have to license each virtual desktop with a full windows license?
