Sylvania Netbook
The $99 Sylvania Netbook, which will be sold at CVS pharamacies, has a Via 8505 processor, based on the ARM 320MHz standard, and Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 OS. An older version of Windows Explorer is included, and the popular Opera mobile browser can also be installed on the device. In terms of functionality, there are 3 USB ports, 1 SD slot, a 7-inch diagonal 800x480 pixel TFT display, 128MB RAM, 2GB NAND-flash storage, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, an 80-key keyboard, a 2.2-inch mousepad, a two-and-a-half hour capacity battery. Pre-loaded apps include WordPad, CKEditor, YouTube player, calculator, ImageViewer, Games, Windows Messenger, and an audio recorder program.
