Re: Common theme with Cerner / Mission Health partnership
That was exactly what I thought about - Mission Health - when I started reading this story, David. I wonder how much of Siemens' integration team Cerner will gain access to, either via acquisition or the partnership you describe. IMHO, integration is a huge opportunity, as healthcare organizations seek to leverage their EHRs, implement big data, and add more IoT solutions, among many initiatives on tap.

Common theme with Cerner / Mission Health partnership
The moves they're making with this acquisition, reflecting an emphasis on going beyond the EHR, is consistent with what we wrote about here: Cerner, Mission Health Rewrite Partnership Rules

Like others in healthcare, Cerner is trying to position itself for an era in which the scorekeeping in the healthcare business will change significantly and institutions will have to demonstrate results by keeping people healthier, not just bringing more people in the door and providing them with more treatment.
