Medicare agency should provide better guidance to contractors on how to spot billing fraud, Inspector General says.

As this piece suggests, these are red flags only. One doctor's shorcut -- in an effort to spend more time with patients and less time on administrative work -- isn't necessarily evidence of fraud. Honest doctors (and they're the vast majority) need to be aware of these red flags as well.
