In Short: Microsoft To Tie IM With Conferencing

Microsoft is taking steps to improve integration between its instant-messaging and Web-conferencing applications. Next year, Microsoft will ship a new version of its Live Communication Server instant-messaging software that will be fully integrated with Live Meeting, the hosted Web-conferencing technology Microsoft acquired when it bought PlaceWare early last year, sources familiar with the plans say.
