Charles Morgan
Technology-induced productivity increases continue to chip away at jobs. Acxiom Corp., which provides products to manage customer information, eliminated 230 jobs, or 5.4% of its U.S. workforce, as part of a reorg. Company leader Charles Morgan said in a statement: "The new technologies we have been implementing over the past few years increase the speed at which we can do our work and reduce the number of people required."
