Susannah Fox is an Associate Director of the Pew Internet & American Life Project, a non-partisan, non-profit organization which studies the social impact of the internet. She has contributed to this blog since its inception, before its affiliation with the Society for Participatory Medicine, and is not a member of the Society. Follow her on Twitter: @SusannahFoxSurvey data is a snapshot of a population, a moment captured in numbers, like vital signs: height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, etc. People build trend lines and watch for changes, shifting strategies as they make educated guesses about what’s going on. See his thoughts
