It's not too much of an exaggeration to say that, almost every time I visit a new website, someone is offering me another 10GB for free. I actually have way more than I can use already. Then again, I'm a low volume user - the greatest increase in data usages are caused by the registry junk that just seems to accumulate with no limit on my Windows machine.
I believe that eventually, SSD will have to completely take over for everything except legacy devices. Hard drives are mechanical devices that improve far, far more slowly than do semiconductor devices, but you certainly have to admire the progress made by hard drives, nonetheless.
