An Injustice
Thanks for writing the column on Edward Samuels. It hurts just thinking about the injustice done to those technicians, let alone the injustice done to the children. I would praise my staff as heroes if they uncovered and reported something as horrific as this. I would also hold them accountable if they didn't. Right is right. Mike Scully

Professional Standards
Thanks for taking a stand as the spokesman for IT. It's a shame that law does not adhere to the same standards as other professions. The Engineer's Creed states: "to place service before profit, the honor and standing of the profession before personal advantage, and the public welfare above all other considerations." As the mother of two engineers (biomedical and EE/computer), I'm grateful they chose that profession.

American Virtues
Thanks again for holding up decency as a virtue in America. Good job.

Employees Deserved Raises
I want to applaud your stand on this situation and your willingness to bring it to the attention of many people such as myself who otherwise wouldn't have known about it.

I was a manager and executive for the majority of my business career, and I've even written a couple of articles on responsibility and ethics.

Based on many of the problems we see in companies and in politics nowadays, it really doesn't surprise me that the law school experienced such a quandary with the situation.

I cannot understand based on the information I have how the company, Collegis, could possibly have reached the decision it did. The employees, Dorothea Perry and Robert Gross, should have been given promotions and raises. Ordinarily I do not agree with many of the ridiculous amounts that jurors award in some of the lawsuits we read about, but it's my sincere hope that these two people get every cent of the $15 million lawsuit they've filed. Unfortunately, the same type of people who are involved in the problem, namely lawyers, will get a hefty percentage of it.

Again, thank you for the article, your stand on the situation, and the affirmation that there are still some great people out there.
