Where's the coverage
It's huge that the Obama administration made "open" the default data state for agencies, yet I don't believe I have ever seen coverage of this outside the tech media. That's just a shame, because a lack of attention means a lack of pressure on agencies and government bureaucrats that would often prefer the status quo.

Lorna, the good news, while the Obama administration's Open Data Policy hasn't exactly made big news outside the open data community, efforts like the Open Data 500, the White House's "datapalooza's" and the success of companies like Climate Corp, which does amazing things with free government data and was recently bought by Monsanto for $1 billion are all drawing a lot more attention to open govt. data.
