re: 12 EHR Vendors That Stand Out
Nice list, and great descriptions of each EHR reviewed. I was surprised to not see MediTouch by HealthFusion on the list. I have personally been working with it for almost a year now and am very impressed with it. It appears to have most if not all of the perks of the others reviewed, plus their customer service is something to be marveled.

re: 12 EHR Vendors That Stand Out
Having worked with several of the major players (and for one) in the EHR industry, I can say they are all behind the times. Very slow to adopt new technology, or even supporting currently supported versions of MS software (OSes, IIS, SQL Server, etc). Not too mention they are out sourcing A LOT of potentially high paying jobs to other countries where labor is cheaper - at the same time accepting massive amounts of tax payer dollars from physicians and offices that recieve the money as an incentive for getting an EHR. These companies really have the opportunity to make greater strides in improving the way physicians and ancillary staff interact with patients and technology, but they make it painful to adopt.

Really like the list and the descriptions of the target for each. The front end looks so different, how easy is it going to be to integrate and aggregate data on the backend when needed? Isn't that the goal further down the road? Not more silos of info, but data that makes information more easily interpreted and usable?

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
