Re: Land of Opportunity
There's always that! Seriously, though @matt, do you think this is another area of healthcare IT the government may/will get involved in? And if so, why? Seems it's got enough on its plate with MU, HITECH, ICD-10 (delayed yet again for a year), etc. Surely they won't create another mandate/incentive program with so much going on?

Re: Land of Opportunity
And if that fails, we'll throw some massive new government regulations and printed money at it.

Land of Opportunity
Beacons and RFID appear under-used in hospitals but that will change as healthcare providers continue investing in ways to improve patient experience and reduce costs. If nurses, for example, spend a few less minutes seeking equipment they can spend that time with patients. If patients and guests can more easily find their way to the lab, a patient's room, or the cafeteria, their experience is enhanced and approval improves. As more use cases -- and ROI reports -- become available, I expect we'll see a surge in demand.

Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
