Good article but more decision support tools should be considered: VisualDx, GIDEON, IBM Watson, DxMate, SimulConsult, Symcat or a couple of others.

Larry Weed has been doing Clinical Decision Support longer than many of us has been alive. Some of his ideas are so integral now that we forget how revolutionary they were back in 1968 when he first publicized SOAP notes in the the Problem Oriented Medical Record.

He is a giant. If we can see further it is by standing on his shoulders.

Some really good apps, but I love the background story on this one. Probably wouldn't happen in the U.S. though, money before innovation.
