Mobile App Development
I totally agree with your blog. This is obvious truth where most apps driven poor user reviews due to the functionality issues. Focusing on proper functionality and quality only can brings Mobile application development company into better ROI. Users mostly preffers to use mobile phones for all their needs. Quality is quite important than the purpose of that mobile application.

Quality Assurance anyone?
Many of these issues could be avoided when software companies would bother with putting more focus on quality. Things have shifted dramatically to cramming more features in and relasing faster chasing arbitrary deadlines. Any company that considered proper quality assurance and bug fixing as option does not deserve any better than to have their products crash and burn in the market.

Rock and a hard place
This is the dilemma that most companies face. They know that customers are spending more and more of their waking time on mobile devices. They know they need to get on the bandwagon and offer more via mobile. But there are so many pitfalls and problems that come with it, especially if you come from a desktop first mentality. That's why it's more amazing to me that Facebook managed to do their 180 from desktop to mobile in the short period that they did. And that's what it will require, a company with the will and vision to shift to mobile-first. Here's another report on data-driven analytics for mobile app development, equally if not more important than the design of an app: http://bit.ly/SourcebitsAnalytics
