Plastic is not environmentally friendly
danielcawrey,

There is a lot wrong with plastic smartphones starting from the fact that plastic is one of the materials contaminating the planet and its use should be reduced. It's not environmentally friendly. I am not even starting with the aesthetics part.

Re: Same looks?
I don't understand what's wrong with plastic smartphones. I mean, if Samsung is capable of selling tons of them with that material, what is the problem?

Smartphones are not built to last anyways. I'm not sure that using metal for cases makes a whole lot of sense. I have a Moto X made of plastic, and I think it does the job. It's all about what people want for a mobile device, however.

Same looks?
I think the iPhone/IOS got very little left for Samsung/Android to copy. All is at the point of boring saturation.
