Wow
Twitch sounds like a great idea. I wish I had thought of it. My own kids sometimes watch other people play Minecraft on Youtube, but I had no idea it was such a growing business, though now that I think of it it seems obvious.

Smart buy, gamers might not like it though
Twitch is going to be huge in a few years time. It's already massive, but with the inclusion of streaming built in to both new-gen machines from Microsoft and Sony and the explosive growth of eSports, Twitch is going to get 100+ million viewers before long. Likewise it's a good fix for a contemporary Youtube, which has its biggest channel list dominated by Let's Players.

However, looking at the way Youtube/Google has dealt with its content-ID system, angering many long time, big video makers, Twitch streamers are unlikely to be happy with the deal, especially if they suddenly find people laying claim to their streams and stealing away ad revenue, as Youtube continues to leave the burden of proof with the accused, rather than with the accuser.
