US PMS
A fantastic analysis of the current PMS/EHR sector. I must admit that i am disappointed that the companies involved in the ranking all originated from the US - correct me if i'm wrong. I've worked with management systems in the US, Canada and UK and I know of a few, particularly one, that was fantastic to work with.
It is important to outline that the future is a combanation of PMS/EHR, and the organisation must provide training from the outright!

Medical Practice Management
We have experienced a rapid consolidation of PM/EMR companies in recent years and the reduction in options is actually a good thing for Doctors.  Integrated platforms that are more user friendly, comprehensive in their features and functionality are what remains in a very competitive arena.  But beware, it's ultimately mostly true that you get what you pay for.  Doctors usually are more familiar with their EMR needs and functionality that on the Practice Management side. Keep in mind that while you may be providing high quality care, you may not be able to collect what you're due if your Practice Management system or Staff doesn't have the ability to track the right metrics.  Considering outsourcing your Billing & Collections may be your best bet in ensuring you're getting paid, regardless of the system you use.

Analytics in the Office?
As you write, David, integrating practice management with EHRs is a smart way for practices to get the most out of their software investments. While we see a lot more healthcare organizations dipping their toes into analytics of EHR data, are there ways they can use analytics within practice management to cut costs or improve efficiency?
