Re: Welcome To Our E2 Community
@Zerox203: So great to see you here, and thank you so much for the kind words and for all you did to contribute to the e2 community with your insights and your experiences and your sense of humor. We have a place for all that here and so much more. Being at IWK, we have access to the entire breadth and depth and scope of coverage that is much more than we could ever do on E2--we encourage you to get to know some of our new colleages and community members here, and assure you that you'll find us commenting on a whole range of topics here, including a lot of the hardware and software topics our expert peers here are writing about.

If there are particular topics or specific types of hardware you want to know more about, let us know and we're happy to connect you with the subject matter experts here at IWK.

Re: E2 meets Information Week
@vnewman2: Ha, such meetings are the bane to our existence. Thank you so  much for all the kind words about our radio shows. Our "golden voice of E2 radio" has been dispatched to SAP Sapphire this week, so we won't be hearing him on air. But we do have a show tomorrow on ageism in IT: http://add.vc/g0ci

We'll be there, hope you can join us and help spread the word--it's a topic that should be of interest to many within and outside our community here.

Re: Welcome To Our E2 Community
Hey, that's me! Always good to be welcomed somewhere. I think it counts as thanks, which as Dave explains in his post about Pizza, is very important to have once in a while. I didn't really share my thoughts on E2's closing over there too much, but it does feel like the end of an era. I can't really put a number on just how much I learned over there, and how much I felt like I was tapping into a source of limitless IT knowledge and experience. I was there since the day E2 opened, and it certainly does feel like four years have gone by in the blink of an eye... but looking back on how much I've learned, that number suddenly sounds a little more realistic.

That mix of nuts-and-bolts technology info and management/big-picture lessons is hard to come by on the blogosphere, and it was great feeling like I could learn about what a new technology was, and then how to use it (from a management perspective) in the same day. To that end, I personally would love to see you guys keep up a little of the hardware info here on IW. I'm a hardware/gadget guy myself, and you're much more likely to find me breaking a perfectly good server than reading a white paper. Strategy and inter-office politics are important themselves (and indeed, they may be what people like me need to learn about the most), but I'd love to see a good mix going forward. I'll see you guys around!
