IoT and bandwidth
Bandwidth is a huge issue for IoT sensor data; consider what energy companies face sending data back from remote locations. Plenty of data, little fiber. I wonder what % of app developers are really focusing on the bandwidth limitations. Important point for app devs.

Re: IoT and bandwidth
Limiing the data in transit will be important. I remember speaking with Accuweather's CIO a couple of years ago about this -- how a 5-line bit of code at the edge of its network (through its content delivery network vendor) would truncate GPS data when a smartphone asks for a weather forecast. Otherwise, the data center thinks two requests 100 yards apart are different, and it would get a new forecast, when in fact the weather outlook's exactly the same in both places.

yes, I trust you are right... as most of the times developers tend ovelook this problem...

Cloud is the answer for IoT
IoT is generating new evolving data and desperately needs computational resources for creating revolutionary IoT applications. Cloud computing with its agility, high availability and performance promises an exponential leap in the emerging era of connected world.

But before we go gaga over cloud and IoT bond, we would need some enhancements in the cloud computing platform to meet IoT application requirements especially from security point of view.

Following up on this, I came across and registered for a webinar on Cloudification for Internet of Things - The Road Ahead http://j.mp/1ljKbzA
