I want to, but...
My inner geek is incredibly excited. I buy a lot of stuff via Amazon Prime. Also, our phone contracts are up, and my wife's phone has been having an increaing number of problems for the last few months. We are in the phone market. Great timing!

But, there are some issues.

1) The whole 'not really Android so good luck with the apps you use' thing hurts. I would probably adpat over time.

2) Price seems steep for a mid range phone. True, the 1 year of Prime knocks a good chunk off the effective price, but it still seems steep to me.

3) Only AT&T. This is a deal killer for me. I live right by the beach, and our reception is occasionally shaky with Verizon. People with AT&T have it much worse (which doesn't really make sense, and is a subject that could be an entire article). I work from home, so can not take a step down in cell reception quality.

In the end, its a cool gadget, no doubt, but who was it that had the deal on a new S5 right now?

No way this phone succeeds without iTunes or Google Play Store. Junko Yoshida is right: Fire should probably just be an app.

Does anyone really pay that amount? I don't think so. They do tax on that amount though.

That's little pricey if you ask me. Keeping it around $100 would have been better I think and being exclusive with AT&T is a mistake

There are many mentally disturbed people that watch QVC all day long.  These are prime prospects for this phone.

Interesting point, though there are a lot of unlimited data packages appearing now. 

That said, I think only the video streaming is going to make that much of a dent in your bandwidth. Looking up products or bar code scanning isn't going to be too problematic I don't think.

Data usage
I can't believe no one commented on the incredible amount of data this device will use. It's fine if you are at home on WiFi, but using your phone for all these things on the road will jack your usage right past your monthly allowance, raising your mobile bill.

I have to say that if I was at home, I have tablets that do most of those things already.
