Li, great and that means you are a late comer to the social media networks.

"I wonder......will anyone even miss Orkut?"

Thomas, yes. I had only orkut account and later converted to Google+ (NO FB or any other social median group accounts)

Re: I wonder...
"The departure of Google's senior VP of social, Vic Gundotra, earlier this year led to reports that Google intends to scale back its social network, Google+. Although no news of this rumored retrenchment surfaced at Google's developer conference last week, this week brings a related product closure. Google on Monday said it plans to shut down its 10-year-old Orkut social network at the end of September"

Thomas, it's a bad news. Orkut is one of the first social networking groups later replaced by Google+. So would you think that the closure will help to scale back the existing Google+

Re: I wonder...
From what I can tell, a large portion of Orkut's user base there defected to Facebook.

Re: I wonder...
Had it maintained a user base in places like Brazil, or had that faded also?
