This product is targetted to rather low-end market segment but I think it will get the share since there is demand behind. I may consider to get one since I don't need those powerful features from the flagship...

Great Article Eric,

I think samsung's approach is similar to that of Blackberry and Apple, in offering a more "simpler" version of there corresponding flagship devices.

I think Samsung, like the rest, our more focus on capturing additional smaller markets and have a more dominant footprint. I think they're also trying to compete againts providers that target consumers that are more on the low tech end.

I know of many people that would welcome a phone in a smaller and simpler form factor, since it provides the sufficient features to get by and get things done.

In my case, I would consider getting Samsung Mini's for my kids as an affortable option.
