Some great tips.  I also would like to add that many organizations who are working with large amounts of data should look at optimization tools such as WAN Optimization to set packet prioritization to help streamline and help speed up the continuity process if they are failing back after an incident.  It's a small tool that could help speed up the overall recovery time.
