Culture
My cousin, who has worked at MS for many years, says that Kevin Turner has had more influence on the current culture than Ballmer ever did. He, and sounds like many others, wish he would move on.

Gates brought in Ballmer to be his business heavy, the bad guy. Turner has filled that role for Ballmer.  And done it well, if you look at level of internal dislike as the benchmark.

Trying Too Hard?
Nadella's making some strong moves, but mobile first, cloud first? Does anything else come first? And I find "platforms and productivity" to be an apples and oranges mix. One is a product category; the other is a business outcome or goal. The simpler the message the better.
