Re: Pet care
My ideal robot will be a home assistant robot.  It would clean the floor as the rumba.  Here in the north east, it could help me clear the snow by place some sort thing on front of it to remove the snow.  During the fall, I can place it outside and it would pick up the leaves during autumn. My robot will be more cleanup as well.  I'm afraid I will spend my time, giving maintanence to the robot since It would be doing a lot of work.

Re: 2. It will be ugly
Mak,

I agree with you on disagreeing. I want my robot to be pretty, too. :)

2. It will be ugly
I kinda disagree with this one, and I believe many male and female readers will disagree as well, specially the single ones; regardless of the profession.

Re: Pet care
True, a robot that could actually clean the cat box (as opposed to those semi-functional automated boxes that are available) would be worth its weight in gold.

Re: Pet care
@Susan a robot with pet appeal! If it also cleans up the pet hair, it should be able to sell itself to dog owners.

Pet care
@Tom: May I add pet care to the list of duties this robot will perform? I would very much like a flying robot to follow me on my dog walks and act as the world's most expensive pooper-scooper, without scaring my dogs. It would have to dispense dog treats instead of candy in order to win their undying love.  If it can also throw a frisbee all the better.

Oh, and then there's the kitty pan...Yeah, my robot will be all about cleanups.

Re: You Had Me At Wi-FI
@Ariella: haha! funny how we all focused on the candy part. I think Tom needs to patent this idea, and fast!

You Had Me At Wi-FI
I'd pay serious money for a drone that would fly around next to me as an ultra portable, secure hotspot. And if it could carry groceries, all the better.
