re: Office For Mac 2011: Re-Activation Heck, Part II
This happened to me this weekend and the fiasco deserves a lot more publicity than it gets. Whoever invented this activation system -- especially the phone resolution approach of NINE groups of SIX numbers!!! -- needs to be awarded the Marquis de Sade prize for computer-inflicted sadism.

This kind of deliberate and premeditated piling on mistreatment of customers by Microsoft needs a lot more spotlight and attention.

re: Office For Mac 2011: Re-Activation Heck, Part II
I have had many Activation problems with Office for Mac 2011. Just swapping a card out in a MacPro for controlling external eSata drives is sufficient to trigger the "Activation Key Too Many Times" message. In my case, the software works fine until MS comes out with an update for the software which they label as "Critical." As soon as the update installs, bam, I can no longer use any of the Office Suite applications. Phone Activation does not work, as when I answer "one" to the number of computers the product is installed on, I get a terse "Good-bye. Thank you for calling Microsoft." and the phone call is terminated. It's always difficult to find the right number to call - many place you back into the automated Activation system, which never works. Is there a direct line to speak with a human being for Mac Office Activation problems?

When it comes to managing data, donít look at backup and archiving systems as burdens and cost centers. A well-designed archive can enhance data protection and restores, ease search and e-discovery efforts, and save money by intelligently moving data from expensive primary storage systems.
