re: Interior Department Chooses Gmail Over Microsoft Cloud
I participated in the NOAA transition to Google's services and thought it was well managed. I had to get used to e-mail "searching" over Outlook's "sorting" but now appreciate it's power. I operate on both the east and west coasts and have learned that g-Doc's group editing is pretty slick. I get to see the actions of other team members on a document in near real time. Works great for teleconferences. I miss the odd-even page numbering of Office, but happly give up minor formatting features for less distracting menus and a better focus on document content.

My BIGGEST concern is govt-held proprietary information. Unless I see the *actual* contract language between the gov and Google, I'm suspicious that the govt didn't do a good job of protecting private people's and private company's information held by the govt.

So no more security risks from Microsoft on Interior Dept. emails as there are for hotmail users?

So will Google read all the Interior Dept. emails as they do for all other GMail users?
